Catch-up Part 3: Thanksgiving Point

So, a few weeks ago we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was so beautiful! I did a bit of a photo-shoot with Carter...I got some really cute ones of Carter and Mike. Later that week my friends from high school, Leanne and Allyson came into town! It was so fun to get to spend some time with them. Rachael and I went to meet Lee and her sister Erin in SLC. We walked around temple square and we looked kind of silly because we were a total "baby brigade" because we all had babies from 5 weeks to Carter at 13 months in tow! I was able to spend some time with Ally at her family graduation party while Michael watched Carter. We also went to the Baby Animal Birthday Party that weekend with Leanne's family. I didn't take any pictures there though because I have so many already from the TG Farm Country.
Carter in his "cool dude" sunglasses just before we left to go to the Tulip Festival. I just loved all of the pictures we got on this day and this is my favorite outfit of Carter's...I love that he'll keep his hat on, he just looks so adorable!

We went back to the Tulip Festival this past Saturday with some friends Kyle, Lesley, and their little girl Ella. Here's just a few pictures from that visit.

Carter LOVED playing in the water.

Catch-up Part 2: Trip to Boise

So, it has kind of become a tradition over the last 2 semesters to go to Boise for a week before Michael's finals so he can just study, study, study and not feel guilty about neglecting us! :) So, Carter and I drove to Boise. I was a little worried about the drive with a one year old all by myself, but Carter did great! He slept most of the way, we stopped in Twin Falls and walked around the mall and ate lunch and then got back on the road and Carter slept for another hour or so and then just talked to himself the rest of the way. We had a great time visiting everyone! We went to Stone and Abbie's soccer games and played at their house. Gregg and Kami's kids were so cute with him and he just loved running around with them! We did lots of shopping with Grandma, went for morning walks, Carter loved playing in the "sand box", on the trampoline, and especially loved it when Grandpa would take him outside with him! I finally got to play some tennis...I haven't been able to play much since Carter was born. Ben and I rode bike's to BSU and played. It was a great trip! Carter was amazing on the drive back too! He is just such a good little boy...he never ceases to amaze me!

This was actually before our trip to Boise, but I thought it was hilarious. I went in to get Carter after his nap and found that he had taken off his pants and thrown them out of the crib.

A few days later Carter took his pants off again happily brought them to me! Apparently he doesn't like to wear pants!

Carter just loved playing with his cousins!

A big catch-up....

So, once again I've been really bad about not posting..the more I put it off the more I don't want to do it because there's just that much more to post! So, since I last posted we had a great visit from my parents and my brother Ben and his wife Nikki! We had a great time with them and did some fun things...including going to the BYU Museum of Art, a trip to the zoo, and some serious games of Nerf Pig/Horse! We also had another birthday party for Carter. We had a party with just our little family on his actual birthday and then the next week when our visitors arrived we had another party. Ben and I made him a caterpillar cake...because he loves his little caterpillar toy. I was so pleased with how it turned out! My Uncle Vard and Aunt Angie and Coralie, Justin, and Jaden also came to the party. We had a great time and Carter LOVED his cake and gifts. Such a lucky boy to get 2 parties! We loved having my parents and Ben and Nikki visit. Carter and Ben really bonded. Here's a few highlights from the weekend.

Carter fell asleep on the way to the zoo holding Ben and Nikki's fingers! So precious!

The Meerkats are always my favorite, so I was super excited to see they had babies this time!
