Emory Turned 2!

We cannot believe our baby girl is 2 now!  Well...26 months now.  :) Because I am so behind on blogging!  Anyway, Emory is just the cutest, funniest little girl we know!  She keeps us all smiling and laughing with the silly things she says and does.  She and Carter are the best and worst of friends!  We feel so blessed to have her in our family.  Here are a few pictures from her big day!  Carter had fun helping me decorate her door and the kitchen for her big day.  After she woke up and opened her first present Michael took she and Carter to get Daylight Donuts while I made her cake.  My parents came up for that day for the weekend.  We had her favorite pizza for dinner, cake and ice cream.  We could have done just about anything and she would have been happy because Grandma and Grandpa came!

This little girl LOVES books, especially little ones.  She carries them with her wherever she goes and  "cuddles" with them in her bed!  I used to put books in the corner for Carter to look at when he woke up so when I started doing it with Emory she quickly corrected me and let me know she needs them tucked up under her arm.

Carter loves Skeletons and so my parents brought this cute Halloween decoration for Carter.  We found Carter like  this shortly after we opened it.  Silly boy.  (He's not actually sleeping)

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Farewell to Summer!

It doesn't even feel right posting these pictures of the beautiful warm weather we used to enjoy.  Currently it is 42 degrees outside and windy and actually 42 is pretty warm considering it is November 15th!  This was our last trip to the "beach".  We went during the day around lunch time the second week of September.  Michael didn't have to work that day, so we took advantage.  When we got there at about 10:30 we were the only ones there!  Kind of nice and kind of eerie.  The kids LOVED playing in the sand and water. It was a very nice day.  A few more people showed up as the day went on.

This might be the sweetest picture that exists of these 2 playing together.  Generally there is screaming and fighting over toys with these little ones!  :)

Mike had fun skipping rocks.

Luckily this was our last trip because Emory's suit was ruined.  (Note to self...don't wear a light colored swim suit to this beach.  The sand is way to fine and gets stuck between the layers in the suit and forever stays there.)

Again luckily this was our last trip because this suit vanished!  I think we must have left it in the  bathroom or something after changing to go home.

Oh summer how we miss you!
(Carter is sitting in the chair with me right now begging to go to the beach.)
