4th of July Weekend!

So, while we were back East we decided to drive down to Washington DC to spend the 4th of July weekend there with my brother Chad who lives there. We had so much fun seeing all of the sights and of course the highlight was watching the fireworks! Thanks Chad for showing us around, feeding us, and letting us stay at your place. We had a great time! Here are some highlights from our trip.

Almost a Girls' Weekend!

I have been trying to post this video for about a week now and it just wasn't working for some reason...but finally it is on here. That probably makes it seem a lot more exciting than it really is! It is just some highlights from our trip to Boston way back in June. My sister Emily, Carter and I went to Boston for a weekend. We drove up Friday night and came back Sunday evening. We packed a lot in and had a great time! Carter did great considering he pretty much lived in his stroller that weekend! We were able to stay at some of their friends' whose husband is in getting his MBA at Harvard...so we stayed on campus. It was great! That was my first time to Boston and I LOVED it! It is such a beautiful city and I loved all of the history. It was just a great weekend all around. Thanks Emily for taking us and to Mike (my sister's husband is also Mike) for watching the boys!

Yes, he was that close to us! I am zoomed OUT as much as I could and still struggled to fit him in the screen because he was close enough to touch!..more details below.

So, I am totally having to play major catch-up. I just got tired of blogging there for a bit for some reason. Now I am hating myself though because we did so many fun cool things the last month we were in New Jersey with my sister and then we've done some things in the last month since we've been home...So, I am going to try to do a few posts each day for the next few days until I am all caught up. So, this is from when Emily and I went into NYC for the Today Show summer concert series with COLDPLAY!!! It was seriously AWESOME. We were only about 2-3 people back from the gates right behind the stage. After a few songs during the show the lead singer Chris...(Emily and I's new best friend), went and talked to the Today Show people and pointed right at Emily and I saying that during the next song he wanted to make an aisle there and walk through the crowd! Emily and I were so excited...sadly they wouldn't let him walk through the crowd, so instead they put a huge equipment case in front of the gate right in front of us and he came and stood and sang on it. He was literally close enough to touch. It was pretty amazing. Emily and I are pretty sure he picked that spot because of us...ha ha...I'm sure! Here's a few photos and videos of the event. Also, just a little side note...it was seriously the hottest, most humid day EVER!!! Even at 6 am! There were a few times I thought I was seriously going to pass out.
